SPARK: City of Kingston

SPARK - City of Kingston
Our classes at Artillery Park can be paid for through SPARK if your Family is Eligible

The Subsidy program for affordable recreation in Kingston (SPARK) reduces the cost of City-run recreation and leisure programs for Kingston residents of all ages. This funding is available on a first-come, first-serve basis until the annual budget has been spent.

How do I access SPARK?

Families or individuals must apply through the Municipal Fee Assistance Program(MFAP) at community services, 362 Montreal St.

If your household's after-tax income falls below Statistics Canada's Low Income Cut-off (LICO) amount, everyone in your household is eligible to receive financial assistance for recreation through SPARK – and other City-run programs.

After your eligibility is confirmed, contact SPARK (613-546-4291, ext.1700/1800) to set up an appointment to register for a recreation program, fitness membership or service.

Our SPARK coordinator will help you find a recreation program that suits you. SPARK contributes a maximum of $300 per calendar year for each person in an eligible household.

SPARK will give you access to classes at the Artillery Park location only.
